Ebay Auction #: 160587116884 This 1969 Camaro Pace Car SS Convertible was purchased by the current owner’s good friend off of the showroom floor brand new in June of 1969. Only two years later when the original owner decided that he was going to trade it in for a new Corvette, the current owner bought the car from his friend. Now up for sale again for the first time since the spring of 1971 is a truly rare ’69 Camaro Pace Car packed with options. This amazing classic is 1 of only 3,675 Pace Cars produced in 1969. When coupled with the options of hideaway headlights, paint match bumper, gauge package, console, and power top; you are looking at a truly rare car. Also, when originally purchased the car was sitting on the showroom floor with a Muncie 4spd transmission. Only a month after the original owner purchased the car, he brought it back to the dealership, unhappy with only 3 speeds, and had the car upgraded to a 4 speed manual transmission. In 1987 the car went through a full restoration, including all mechanical rebuilds, paint, and front seat re-upholstery. Since then the car has been stored and only driven roughly 2,000 miles. The engine fires right up at the first twist of the key, the transmission shifts smoothly through all gears, and the car truly roars down the road. Unfortunately over the years some rust has showed and the car is now ready for a mild cosmetic restoration.
