1947 Ford Pick-up truck (all steel) on a 1965 Chevrolet El Camino chassis. All the running gear is from the El Camino. It has a 305 V-8 with a Turbo 350 Automatic transmission. It has power steering, power brakes (slotted and drilled rotors on the front), air conditioning with heat, tilt wheel with aftermarket steering wheel. Shifter is on the floor with Dakota Digital indicators on the dash. VDO Gauges, new 2 speed New Port dual electric windshield wipers. Windshield is new with dark tinted glass at the top. Dual exhaust with headers. Dual electric radiator fans. All wiring replaced. Third brake light. LED Tail lights. Mustang gas tank under the bed with the filler in the bed, Bed is solid black walnut with Stainless Steel strips. Has hidden locks for tailgate. Bed is raised about 6 inches above normal to accompany the frame hump over the rear axle. Rear air shocks. Running boards are covered with Rhino lining used to protect pick-up beds. Hood has been shaved, but otherwise the truck looks original. Rear bumper is from a Mitsubishi pick-up. Has chrome reverse wheels, 15X4 front, 15X10 rear. Tires are very good. The truck has about 20,700 miles since I installed the VDO gauges. The truck was sandblasted and then painted Harvest Moon (a Volkswagen color, very light Ivory) with clear coat. It is a daily driver, rain, snow, sunshine (well maybe not too much snow!!) It attracts lookers everywhere I go. Not a show truck, (a few nicks her and there) but a very dependable daily driver. It also has a hand made cab cover to protect it from the weather. I've had it about 11 years and am ready to try another vehicle.
